Romney Helped Spark Green-Energy Boom in Massachusetts

Bloomberg Business Week -- Mitt Romney’s criticism of President Barack Obama for promoting green-energy subsidies may keep the former Massachusetts governor from boasting about his contribution to expanding the clean-energy industry.

As a Republican presidential candidate, Romney has chided Obama, saying the president is in an “imaginary world” where renewable energy fuels the economy, not traditional fuels (oil, natural gas and coal).

As governor, Romney’s administration employed the same incentives used by Obama. He promoted a green-energy fund backed by the state as a “major economic springboard,” and oversaw an increase in support for renewable and energy-efficiency projects, like Solyndra

The repub's just misquoted him to further their aims. He siad he was a friend to technology, and indeed he was, and a co-sponsor on the bill that formed the Internet. And 10k - don't worry. When Romney gets in power he may very well continue like most repubs with the Spend and tax-cut trend that drives up the national debt. (Reagan - $ 3 T; Bush Sr. $ 1 T; Bush Jr $ 4.5 T) Why obama went along with that silly tax cut I don't know. It isn't like we saw a lot of growth.
