excuses and propaganda I agree with many who have pointed at greed, which seems to have no limits.

This appears to be the time they take refineries off line for scheduled maintenance preparing for spring and sumer traffic.

Different parts of the country might be seeing price increases, but possibly for different reasons. But as always when they go up, the price spike is considerable. Here in the Central Florida town of Ormond Beach they just went from $3.42 to $3.49 yesterday - and a large percentage of them made that same jump.

they refineries probably closed to drive the price up more so that the rich oil companies can gouge the average man even more.

Big Oil will use any excuse that they might be able to make some believers. I don't buy Big Oil's claims. I tend to believe that Big Oil is just plain greedy.

There are a lot of people on here ragging on people from Minnesota and the Twin Cities area about this article.
Rag on the guy who wrote the article. By John Welbes jwelbes@pioneerpress.com
If you really have a hair twisted about the contents of the article. You may want to personally contact John Welbes. He can be reached at 651-228-2175.
This article was posted by DellDude2 a GasBuddy member from Nashville, Tennessee.
People here in Minnesota and the Twin Cities are just as upset about the prices of gasoline as many of you are in your state and or country (Canada). The main thing people here in Minnesota are stunned about the price of gasoline, is the sudden and rapid rise in the prices. In my area of the Twin Cities the price of gasoline increased from $2.889 to $3.499 in 11 days. A short period of time to have the price go up so sharply (21% increase). A .61 cent price increase and still going up.
$3.27 Minnesota Average Monday, Jan. 28 $3.33 Twin Cities Avg Monday, Jan. 28
$3.361 Minnesota Average Tuesday, Jan 29 $3.378 Twin Cities Avg Tuesday, Jan 29
Don't give us the cold shoulder here in Minnesota GasBuddy members. We are all in this together.

The American people can only blame themselves for high gas prices. Everyone must drive every where they go. All the American people needs to do is the same as I do. Park your cars for any two days a week every week and don't even start them. If every American driver did this big oil would start to cry and the price of gas would start coming down.
