The first Volts will be too expensive for the average consumer; depending on how well the initial cars work, there may be alot more demand in future years.

Chevy engineers are happy with the battery testing results, but what spec were they testing against? And has that spec been vetted as being acceptable by consumers?

it is still an expense; not an investment. energy saving tanks don't do it.
