$49,900 is still unaffordable for most people.

This is what I call a prejudicial vehicle...only the rich will be able to afford one, IF and when it is manufactured...

With unemployment running away the cost is not even in the ballpark for the average consumer.

I don't consider $49,900 a lower priced model.

I think this would be a risky investment. This company is a lot of talk and very little action. They have talked about this Roadster for six years and yet to have produced them.

lets hope it works and the company grows, and is not bought out by an oil company that just buys it for control and then shut it down.

Just as I've never cared about expensive cars such are my thoughts about this Tesla car or any other expensive car, my only hope is they learn some things that can used on a car that more everyday folks can afford....In that respect, I guess the more the merrier.

I will jump at the chance to get in on this IPO. Made one mistake in not doing Google. At least, in one way, I will be able to afford to own a Tesla; and if they are successful in expanding to mainstream models, with a resulting stock rise, I might even be able to afford the roadster.

I think it would be safe to say that many people would like to be a part of the Tesla company and to show their support for Green. Owning stock in it would be one way to say they approve.

This thing is a rocket because of all that torque available in the electric motor. but only the rich can afford a vehicle like this.

Ah, the american dream come true, turn a small business into a conglomorate then wine, dine with the well healed, buy $100,000 cars and think about the environment. How sweet.

I wouldn't think that an IPO in today's economy would be wise or profitable. No one can afford what they are selling now.

Money from stocks might help them. Sales would be their best help. Who can afford a $109,000 car these days?

I'm sure they'll get plenty of investments from "important" public figures trying to make themselves off as caring about the environment.

You won't be able to buy this vehicle unless you take out a mortgage on the car.

If Nikolai Tesla would have done this over 100 years ago while he was still alive, just maybe the world would not have been so dependent on oil for running their cars. Too little, too late!

Don't want to see them get crushed by any other vehicle companys or oil companys.
