AWWWWWW, I feel so sorry for the poor poor pitiful Canadians having to pay more taxes. When you elect a Socialist Government, that is what you get. Kinda like electing Demoncrats in the good 'ole USofA.
Anthropogenic Global Warming (or Global Climate Change in the new lexicon since ‘warming’ is no longer happening....) is a hoax being played out by the 'One Worlders' to scam and scaremonger the ignorant population (dumb masses - said quickly) to cry for the UN to take over the world. Say "Hello" to "Logan's Run" and get ready to start eating 'Solient Green' - I hear it tastes like chicken and is better with Tabasco. (Yes, I know - two different movies.)
The SCIENCE tells us that increased CO2 (that would be carbon dioxide for all the dm’s) densities in the atmosphere FOLLOW global warming trends (due to increased sun activity) and decreased CO2 densities in the atmosphere FOLLOW global cooling trends (due to decreased sun activity). This is because the earth’s oceans contain massive quantities of absorbed CO2 in solution, and when there is warming, the absorbed CO2 is released into the atmosphere (like in a soda for those of you who went to government indoctrination centers for your edumacation). And when the earth/atmosphere cool, the CO2 is re-absorbed. Pretty simple actually.
So if current real SCIENCE tells us this, HOW can increased CO2 in the atmosphere (whether man-made or not) CAUSE Global Climate Change??? ALL truly informed commentators on AGW know that water vapor in the atmosphere is the TRUE driver of the “greenhouse’ effect. (And what is it that a hydrogen vehicle emits from it’s tailpipe again????)
This is ALL BESIDES THE FACT that all the CO2 released by man into the atmosphere is somewhere around one tenth of one percent (0.1 %) to three tenths of one percent (0.3 %) of ALL CO2 in the atmosphere. A single volcano releases more CO2 than ALL the CO2 released by man in the last 40 years.
I know, I know, the earth has cooled and warmed for eon’s before man started burning oil and coal to warm our buildings or put gas in our automobiles…. Blah blah blah…. Please don’t confuse me with the facts….. I know, I know, human and animal life has been much better off during the warmer periods in recorded history as ‘dsegrist’ pointed out - due to better growing seasons; as opposed to when the earth was cooler (mini ice ages) where people died by the millions due to starvation and pestilence. Again, please don’t point out things that I don’t want to hear because it conflicts with the world view that has been implanted in my head by agenda driven idiots who want to control your every breath – or maintain their government funding for fake research. I can only hold so many conflicts in my brain at any one time, and I am already occupied on who to vote for on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and ‘American Idol’ and who I think will win the Superbowl this year. Besides, I have to concentrate on my Fantasy Baseball Team….. Please just let me live my life of ignorance and bliss – and to HATE everyone else who doesn’t’ agree with me.

Of course the sun is main cause for Global Warming (or at least the greenhouse effect, on which life depends), but that's the NATURAL part. Carbon emissions are the ANTHROPOGENIC part, which lead the the increase in temperature over the last ~100 years, which the earth can't easily deal with. So the problem lies in the carbon emissions, and we need to deal with them. If you read the serious scientific literature, you'll find that scientist agree on this.

A carbon tax is crazy:
1) what is the Gov't going to do with the extra revenue?
2) CO may not be the cause of global warming. After all, what caused the ICE age to end? We (man) certainly did not cause that, by burning oil!
3) What about Farmers who use diesel fuel to plant crops? The crops take more CO out of the air, than the diesel puts in to the air. Do the farmers get a carbon tax rebate? Answer - NO!
