To the contrary Honda0105:
[L=http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/moslive/article-2199284/text deleted would have to ignore the reports of doctors such as Australia’s Sarah Laurie, Canada’s Nina Pierpont and Britain’s Amanda Harry who have collated hundreds of such cases of Wind Turbine Syndrome. And you’d have to reject the expertise of the acoustic engineers, sleep specialists, epidemiologists and physiologists who all testify that the noise generated by wind farms represents a major threat to public health. ‘If this were the nuclear industry, this is a scandal which would be on the front pages of every newspaper every day for months on end,’ says Chris Heaton-Harris, the Conservative MP for Daventry who has been leading the parliamentary revolt against wind farms, demanding that their subsidies be cut.[/L]
You see, there are thousands of cases of illness caused by Pig Wind all over the world. A prime example of Eco-imperialism at work.

Wind has been used in Europe where there's much more population density and very little complaints about the turbines. Either these are faulty (in which case they should be repaired) or the people just are rich whiny nimbys.

, Pops, these comments bear repeating from CdnLynx:
"Funny thing about both these news articles, is that neither give any references re: these Massachusetts study of the Falmouth MA turbines.
The first was 15 May 2012 re: Turbine Nighttime operations. Falmouth Turbines 1 & 2; Offending turbine at night is turbine 1 only
Day Time operations of both Turbines - Dated Nov 2012 Updated report Falmouth turbines 1 & 2 - Daytime Operations Nov 2012
Offending Turbine was only turbine #1 during Nighttime operations.
Turbine 1 operation has been suspended during night time!"

Some funny replies about how ridiculous this may be. Some would complain if they weren't in their locality too.

This is not new, Wind Turbine Syndrome is being reported in other states as well. But it is being covered up as much as possible by the Big Wind energy shills just as the Big Solar shills try to write off the toxic chemical wastes from solar panel production.

I would have thought there would be complaints like this all over the US if turbines in general acted like the claim. I didn't read anything in the article that claimed they are functioning "normally" or not. Can a wind turbine be "defective"?

You obviously know nothing about Falmouth, MA 10k and it is quite a shame that you are so hateful to a community made up primarily of blue collar working families and retirees!
It is obvious that most of the language in the quotes here are from some low life ambulance chasers play book. Then the drivel is regurgitated via Faux News.
No one in the town of Falmouth is ready to "tear down" only two wind mills. It is likely that one or both were installed with town Zoning Board approvals before proper siting requirements were fully developed. Large wind mills are only suitable for industrial zoned areas and should have minimum distance requirments from bordering residential zoned areas. I have camped very close to a wind farm of 40 wind turbines by Lincoln, Maine and have not experienced any of the dramatized problems listed in the Faux News article, 'tubular' or otherwise!

Here you go Cakes...
Wind farm noise causes “clear and significant” damage to people’s sleep and mental health, according to the first full peer-reviewed scientific study of the problem. American and British researchers compared two groups of residents in the US state of Maine. One group lived within a mile of a wind farm and the second group did not.
Nasty stuff this "green" energy.
The Truth shall set you free!!!

Are symptoms from the turbine? Could they have some sort of illness that developed gradually like Alzheimer's? I'd like to see what others near other turbines say. We had one near our I-35 for a long time. I know a guy about 30 years old who complained about the birds chirping waking him up!

poor rich kennedy-esque people: suffering from headaches, dizziness, and sleep deprivation..wonder who gave them this terminology to use: "..it gets into your tubular organs, chest cavity, mimics a heartbeat..??"..
i bet if those suckers were off the coast of north or south carolina, or georgia, nobody would be listening..

There is a wind farm about thirty miles from us and the people living within a 2 mile range of them have complained of the same problems. Children and adults alike get severe headaches, feel ill and can't sleep. I have driven by them and you can feel the pulsation in your vehicle. I would not want to live close to those big units.

I am interested in scientific evidence of these claims. If they prove true, then we need be much more concerned about residential proximity to Wind Farms. On the other hand, without scientific evidence, it would sound more like hypochondria.

This is a family show Cheney! A mile isn't going to help. For something that big you'd be surprised at how close a mile is!

These turbines must be too close to residential homes maybe there should be a mile minimum.

It sounds like Amsler is in to torture. It sounds like the water torture that was being performed in the Guantanamo detention center that was stopped against 911 terrorists. I guess the terrorists are more important than law abiding citizens. Instead of waiting to take a vote notify the community that it will be taken down and then do it. That solves that problem. Next..... : )
