GasBuddy Blog -- When the nation was squarely focused on the presidential election it was easy to lose sight of the urgent problems facing thousands of New York & New Jersey victims of Hurricane Sandy. SOS, FEMA is a bloated bureacratic inefficient arm of govt that should be thrown on the ash heap of history. Get rid of FEMA, empower the states, (SEMA) and we all will be better off.

This is what happens when you have way too many people living in way too small of an area... and their elected leaders (such as Bloomberg) are idiots. When things go wrong, they go really wrong.

Action sparked by trying to keep their own jobs. Go figure. Now they just really need to focus upon ensuring that those restrictions are mandated properly and not idlely.

Waiving the Jones Act helps alleviate fuel shortages, need more fuel and electricity in the affected hurricane areas. People need to drive and have electrical service for their lives to continue as it did before the storm.
Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, Produce and ‘Drive’ vehicles with high MPG, are very safe, reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money.
The price of fuel at the pump is too high!

This blog has its facts completely wrong. The media extensively covered Sandy, & for a long time. FEMA was right there. But it cannot be everywhere instantly, which is what the blog suggest was expected. The NY mayor was talking the usual political talk and maintain his favor with the people.

We need to look at all our laws and consider what we really need versus what is nice to have. It seems to me we have to much regulation and maybe this is one of those times...
