When you say "beach weather" I think Southern California, not the coast of NH, though lots of people don't know that NH does have a coastline. (I have good friends in Hampton.)

U-235 is used in nuclear power plants. Its half life is 713 million years. That means it takes 713 million years for U-235 to lose only HALF of its radioactivity. It will take a while longer for that to turn into lead. I, for one, prefer not to wait.
