impala2008 from Ontario...
No this article does not have anything to do with gas prices. If you really believe that the articles is not appropriate and are not just posting for points, I would strongly suggest you read the submission guidelines.
Let me turn your attention to those guidelines, "Articles should be on the topics of gas prices, crude oil, clean energy, fuel efficient vehicles or related automotive articles".
Now if you still believe that this article on Wind farms is NOT "clean energy" ...then you would logically want to turn it in to the Mods and perhaps make a fool of yourself by doing so.
Did you read the article?

Making a deal with the Chinese is making no deal at all. The only way to deal with them is to have a net neutral trade agreement. This type of agreement would require that no Chinese goods would be allowed in the USA until the Chinese have received and paid for the same monetary value of goods from the USA. Good luck!

The Chinese government will always have foreign policies that restrict the development of trade by other foreign companies within their borders. That is just the nature of their culture.

"They introduced a bill this month that would halt federal funding of renewable energy projects until "buy American" requirements are written into law."
What happened to globalization and fair competition ? I feel we are being a good bit hypocritical here. The Chinese are better at manufacturing at a lower cost than we are and always have been.
I think the real argument to be made, if any at all, is in the area of Human Rights in China. Are we certain those are still being violated ;)

You may as well get used to the fact that the US is not important any longer as far as a financial world power. Washington is spending too much money making the dollar worth crap. How's that change working for you?

U.S. companies are getting squeezed out of the big Chinese wind-power market even as Dallas investors are bringing Chinese firms here via a big wind farm in Texas, according to a new industry report.
Its time to kick their BUTT out of the U.S. then

We experienced something similar with in soft wood trade, poatoe exports, pork etc. etc. but that was all done under a legal agreement called the North America Free Trade agreement. The World Trade council ruled against the US in every situation, but they continued with protectionist taxes, trade, and practices anyway.

Right now the Chinese hold all the cards... their economy is booming, their wind and solar energy businesses are producing high quality low cost equipment and all the US can do is whine about being squeezed out of the Chinese market...
Produce a better product at a better price and let economics play a part - the Chinese are just a greedy for profit as anyone, and the US firms "simply" have to address cost and quality...

Today's market is not your father's marketplace.
Until, and unless we impose the SAME requirements that are placed on us from Foreign countries, we will no longer be in the same position of respect we once were.
Each country that imposes import or other taxes upon good made in America, should have the EXACT SAME taxes and costs imposed on them and ALL PRODUCTS from that country.
In this way, ONLY, we can achieve parity.
