Hacked emails add fuel to climate dispute

MSNBC -- Hackers broke into the electronic files of one of the world's foremost climate research centers this week and posted an array of e-mails in which prominent scientists engaged in a blunt discussion of global warming research and disparaged climate-change skeptics.

The skeptics have seized upon e-mails stolen from the Climatic Research Unit of the University of East Anglia in Britain as evidence that scientific data have been rigged to make it appear as if humans are causing global warming. The researchers, however, say the e-mails have been taken out of context and merely reflect an honest exchange of ideas.

University officials confirmed the data breach, which involves more than 1,000 e-mails and 3,000 documents, but said they could not

How can they predict global warming when most of the time they can't get tomorrow's weather right, and definately can't forecast a week in advance. I am with the geologists on this one.

Now we don't hear about that anymore. You don't hear about shuttle missions causing anything or jet trails, just automobiles causing it all. Its all about co2 that plants take in. Don't automobiles produce carbon monoxide? Isn't that harmful to plants and trees?

The hackers clearly had intent to find info, probably to dispute common position, so therefore any ill-gotten information may be a small piece of the pie that they choose to make public. Add to that the possibility for fraudulent information leaked. For those who are skeptical, be skeptical about situations like this.

That's not science, folks, it's propaganda. The only Inconvenient Truth that counts is that it's been warmer before (900-1300 or so) and the polar bears survived.
