I love trackers, I have a 97. I am a little disappointed with my gas mileage lately though, ive only been getting 19 mpg the past couple tanks. I wish they would start making them again.

Well, I own a 1998 'Chevy' Tracker with 4 doors and 4 speed auto. It has 119,250 miles on it now and it still gets almost 30 mpg just driving 10 miles back and forth to work. I think I'll drive it into the ground before I get rid of it. It ran fine on the move out here to NM from NH, and I just love it. I could have bought a 2005 Chevy Tracker that had a V6 in it, but I don't think that they had very good fuel mileage.

It is my commute vehicle and I do like it. I am not the target for the design, but it gets 28 mpg and I drive 25 miles one way every day. So my 3/4 ton 460 ci pickup is not much of an option. I parked my pickup and am driving the tracker for less costs (gas, payments, insurance, etc) than the pickup cost just for gas. It is a little noisy, but the sound system is adequate and with my CD changer add on, I do just fine in it.

I had a soft top first, and then we traded it. That was in 1997... Then in 2003 we moved to the snow belt of America- Parish NY and we needed something to get me to work. So we went back to the Tracker. Absolutely love the size, the 4 wheel drive, the fuel economy, comfort is good... would like to upgrade to a newer one!!

I LOVE my TRACKER. I had a 1994 2 door convertible for 6 years, then bought a 1999 2 door convertible. Never had any (roll over) close calls. Great cars mechanically, & good gas milage.:(

gm ditched the design mainly due to the fact that many teenage females were the target of this suv. and the rool over rate during EMERGENCY manuvers was quite high. please note i said emergency manuvers. i pwersonaly like the trackers and vitaras. however the 2 door "JEEP" was a bit more unstable due to the short wheelbase. but then again you have to know how to handle your vehical
