That deal really pissed me off. They closed the plant in Hazelwood, mo, instead of converting it to build Escape Hybrids. I almost quit buying Fords because of that. They would sell every hybrid they build. Almost impossible to find. We bought one last April, and my wife loves it. Great mileage, and nice car. It recently turned over 22,000 miles. No problems whatsoever. We even get a rebate from Uncle Sam because we bought it. $3000.00 Will be coming in the mail shortly, as an income tax return.
they are even better on resale value than a reg car.

Why not keep a factory open here and fill it full of greasy Illegal Mexicans. At least the USA would get some money out of them.

iso50<<<Mexico is part of America, just as Canada is. It's not part of the USA. Go back to geography class>>>
I think that most people from the US, call it America. True enough, it is in the continant of North America, but it is the USA. Canada and Mexico are both in the North American continant, but I don't consider either of them America. I also don't consider Canada a foriegn country, as I do Mexico.
Also about Toyota being more American than Ford, Toyota, and Nisson, are having major problems with transmissions, and engines, so be cautious about buying one.
Two friends of mine both have Toyotas, and both are having engine problems. The engine keeps losing all of its oil.... They are having trouble with Toyota repairing the problems, also.

Thats enough for me to NOT buy another Ford. Screw it, I'm done with them. They just announced the closing of a plant near my city, and lots of people are going to be out of work. The only appeal Ford had before was that it was an AMERICAN car company, but seems Toyota is more loyal to this country's economy.

I don't plan on buying another Ford even if they start making vehicles on the moon.

Ford should move to Mexico and only sell their cars there.

I feel an American company should have their products made in America.

The last posting was a move in 1987. This is the current move, and building of a new plant.
