I see quite a few Hummers on the road, H2's and H3's. Wish I had one for my Roadside Assistance job. Awesome vehicles....

See at least several every day on the Washington DC Beltway; they're no longer unique, and the H3 looks like so many other vehicles on the road, it's hard to even notice them.

I saw a H3 parked in the driveway of a mobile home in my park. The purchase price of the two are pretty close, and throw in the gas bill it's about the same cost per month for space rent! Simply amazes me.

Generally see several a day; they're common enough that they don't stand out from other large SUVs such as the new Jeep

I live in Edmonton Alberta Canada. You can't go to the shoping center without seeing a H2 or H3. It's the real Hummers you don't see many of anymore.

I've seen a Hummer stretch limo each of the last three days, two white (so it may have been the same one) and a black one

Cumbersome, clumsy, and unwieldy.. Seldom taken off-road (although capable).
But on the flip side: It's cramped, underpowered, and poorly built.
I guess it evens out.
I shake my head at those idiots that drive Hum-jobs as a solo commuter vehicle and think to myself: "How stupid can you get?"

Forgetting one that's parked near me nightly, they're generally so many that I don't particularly pay much attention to them anymore. I consciously see three, four, half dozen maybe a day. Compared to similar vehicles (i.e., top line SUVs), the H3 isn't as expensive as some and has a lot more capability with similar gas mileage. Seems like if you really need a SUV (not just to commute on the highway, with driver no passenger), it might be the way to go.

The Hummer is "in your face" for the same reason the Jeep Wrangler and the Jeep Cherokee are; they have distinctive styling. To me, the BMW and Mercedes SUVs are more ostentatious, less functional, and will never be used for 4-wheel utility regardless of situation; they won't ever go off-road and likely won't leave the garage in bad weather. But, you get to show off that you have money. That, to me, is worse than the H3 on the road.

Example: Hummer H3.
Built on the same platform as the Chevrolet TrailBlazer, but with these added bonuses!:
Poorer outward visibility.. Poorer fuel economy.. Poorer acceleration.. Less interior room..all for the sake of style.
..and that Hummer stigma that evokes disgust in many fellow motorists (like myself).
Please understand that I despise SUVs in general. It's just that the Hummer is just so much more "in your face".
Minivans are more practical (but less MACHO). Bring back the American Station Wagon!

I see them every day, usually several; they now fit into the landscape of traffic. But as for not being mud-splattered, how often do you see any 4-wheel drive vehicles that are mud-splattered, especially the high-end ones such as the BMW or Mercedes or for that matter the Lincoln Navigator or Cadillac Escalade?
But, for the most part, the Hummer costs less and does more than most of it's competitors, so if you're going to criticize Hummer owners, criticize the rest of them also. There are some excellent posts on this thread that gave comparisons of similar vehicles and it's fascinating how the Hummer is a better value, and in most cases at less cost and with the same or better gas mileage.
And no, I don't have a Hummer and have no interest in one.

Enroute from Maryland to Rehoboth Beach: A Hummner stretch limo that's as long as an limo I've ever seen sitting next to another Hummer limo, and two along the boardwalk.

See them every day during work commutes if I pay any attention to what's on the road. In this area they're so common that you don't notice them anymore unless you're specifically looking at vehicle models. They'er part of the common common commute now.

Two days ago, circling a parking lot searching in vain at 8.2 Mpg for a parking spot large enough to contain the ego.

The question should be "has there been a day in the last two weeks you haven't seen a Hummer?"
See them every day, at least a couple. They're so prevalent I seriously don't pay attention to them in this area. They blend in with all the other cards and are just one more vehicle on the highway.
