Ahh, we'll see. The Wings didn't blow the Ducks or Hawks out of the water, it should be an excellent, highly competive series between two teams that really belong. It will not be a cakewalk by any means.

Nice goal by Kane and Huet played about as well as you could expect - nice save on Franzen. But the Wings just bludgeoned him with shots all night. Congrats to the Wings.

YAWN....... Is it over yet? WTF about my boy Probie in the Hawks jersey? I MUCH preferred him in his Wings jersey, like on Yzerman's retirement night. How much Black Hawk ass did he kick over the years anyhow? I think local guy Mickey Redmond had it right when he seemed to think that the Hawks were sort of USING Probie that way. Cheli taking the faceoff. Maybe JR is right. Maybe Babs DOESN'T like him (lol)

C'mon Hawks show something and make this a series. Show the Wings you're getting closer in the rear view mirror to them.
Regardless of what happens Wednesday night, it sure has been quite a season for the Indian head. Nobody could have expected this much success this season. At least this team has acquired valuable playoff experience and will be a force to be reckoned with in the future. There is no shame in the way these guys have played overall and if they don't pull it out, there is no shame in losing to the defending champions.

Great game. The Wings prevailed even without Lidstrom and Datsyuk.
I think Marty Havlat was skating scared today.

The Hawks saved the game from loosing when they put Huet in the net since Habbi wasn't feeling well. The Hawks also have Corey Crawford also which is a goaltender for the Rockford IceHogs and he's a good goalie when the Hawks called him up when Habbi was injured during the regular season.

In order to the 'Hawks to win, I think they need to go for broke. Huet will be under siege, but he'll have to survive and keep the team in it.

The Blackhawks are making a come back in the finals against Detroit big time because they were down two games coming back to the UC and they won last night at home in over time. I think the Hawks will tie it after tomorrow's game.

You have to understand the Detroit version of a "clean hit" is anything made by one of their thugs against the other team. Hopefully the league will bring something down on Kronwall for his cheap shot.
Longhorn you hit it on the head the Hawks need to control the puck more than they have the first 3 games of this series.

Not enought puck possession by the 'Hawks. The problem is if they are not possessing the puck, then the Wings are and I don't like the percentages for the 'Hawks if the Wings keep the puck. Nice to see them get a good win. Does Huet start game 4?

I still think the 'Hawks D is just not good enough to hang with the Wings. We'll see if they can get any kind of home ice advantage tonight.

There's a chance Datsyuk may not play tonight, I guess if his foot is hurting it's better to rest him tonight rather than risk a more serious injury.
Let's go Red Wings!!!!

Heyyyy, wait a minute. Do the Black hawks still have the "ice girls" (or Hawk girls or whatever they are called?) At least they have THAT going for them :)
Wings always seem to come out firing when they have either a day off or an opt practice. I like their chances to hang a few on Khabibulin tomorrow. Hope Ozzie can play as steady as he has been playing.

I expect a very competitive game tomorrow night. I'm sure the Chicago faithful will loud and give the team an emotional boost. The Wings are going to have to come out flying and take it to the Hawks right off the first faceoff.
The Wings had tired legs in Game 2 followed by an optional practice yesterday and then travel and practice today. Just glad they don't have to travel back to CA or Vancouver.

thanks longhorn, and it's nice to see the last two goals come on a breakaway and a 3 on 1 that resulted from a good defensive play and the quick transition
I HATE that there's no hockey on tonight!!!

Start waving the white flag Hawks. When the Wings beat you without significant goals by Datysuk, Zetterberg and Hossa, then you're in big trouble. Kane has got to score. Toews was great last nite, but Oz was better.

I know that it was said that ONE game doesn't make a series, and I'm sure neither does TWO, but it sure is a START :) What a great game last night. Too bad someone had to lose, but I'm glad it wasn't US (sorry for the redundant post, Detroiters). Nothing to hang your heads about in that game! I hope the next games are a carbon copy of that one and I'll even let you guys have a game or two to see good hockey like that! What's up with our resident hack, Lidstrom? 2 pens in one period? GOON!! GO WINGS!!

Great goal to finish the game, nice passing by Hudler and Filppula.
Cleary's break away goal was sweet.
Good to see the Wings win even after being outplayed most of the game, shows what experience can do for a team.
Playoffs Fun Fact #15: Detroit captain Nicklas Lidstrom’s assist on Rafalski’s goal was his 116th in the playoffs, moving him ahead of Steve Yzerman and into first place on the Red Wings’ career list. He tied Larry Robinson for fourth among defenseman on the NHL list.
