Factory or aftermarket. If it does, is it a good predictor of your actual MPG?

Three do have MPG digital readers, one has aftermarket, all work fine. I keep their mode set for instant mpg most of the time, rather my driving habits/right foot have been trained way back when gas prices rose above a dollar per gallon.

I never try to compare my calculations against the indicators when refueling, that at one time did prove close results. The main thing is learning to train myself for economy driving by taking notice of how I work my engines energy levels in relation to motion and traffic terrain/surroundings.

It works for Me sometimes as a guilty meter, if I get off track, (lose economy)on a tank of fuel. It's somewhat of a choice game with fuel dollars, (tail-pipe waste)= extra refuel pump $$$ caused often by the "peddle Dance", both pedals.....and Me the driver!I would hope for an engine run time read-out, that could be reset each interval and for the 24hr period or longer, that's just Me.....

I do, but I ONLY use it for miles left to travel with whatever gas is left on the tank at that time.

For mpg's calculations I do it the old fashioned way. Full tank to full tank, the miles divided by the gallons used. EZ does it

(Of course the only way it works correctly is by topping off both fill ups)

Yes and it can be fairly close but it depends on how you fill your tank. Consistency is the key.

1/2 mile off the county line road and four miles to our local farming community...not hardly.

Yes. It's pretty close. Less than 3% off.
