Did you know that by simply waxing your car you can gain about 2 miles per gallon more. Is it just me or is it true, what do you think

I rarely do anymore. I just don't believe there is much improvement on mileage.

Nah. Wax makes the car heavier, requiring more throttle to get the same speeds thus decreasing fuel efficiency. It's heavy stuff!

"MPG" is already plural. "MPGs" is unnecessary and "MPG's" is just WRONG.

I don't think by waxing your car can get more mileage per gallon or more on you car.

I think you are grossly misled. It may help, but NOT as much as 2 mpg.

I wax my vehicles to protect the paint, not gas mileage as this has been proven to be a myth.Race car drivers to help cut the wind and gain fractions of a second, but that's it. Since we live here on the sal water and high heat/humidity, waxing the vehicle is critical for preserving the paint finish in Florida.

Yes You need a wax job that will mesmerize the other motorists in their tracks, then you are often free to go, less Idle Time, more MPG. Right! Have to check my portfolio on Wax stocks(airplane wax) first! Then Speedboat wax! ETC. ........
